Corporate Social Responsibility / Service Projects
Events with Purpose. Programs with Impact.
Some of the most rewarding moments in my career have come through CSR and service-driven initiatives built into corporate travel and event programs. I’ve had the privilege of helping organize and participate in meaningful projects that give back to local communities and create a deeper sense of connection for attendees.

These projects often complement a larger event or incentive trip, offering participants a chance to engage with purpose, build team unity, and leave a positive footprint behind. Whether it’s assembling care kits, restoring school supplies, or partnering with local nonprofits, these moments shift the energy of an event—from success to significance.

What I love most about CSR work is how it aligns with the heart of hospitality: creating a sense of belonging and doing good for others. Being part of these efforts has made me even more intentional in how I design programs—ensuring we make an impact not just on our guests, but on the communities we visit.

Partnering with Eco Children during an Incentive Trip
As part of a luxury incentive program in South Africa, we integrated a powerful CSR initiative at Kapama Private Game Reserve, in collaboration with Eco Children, a nonprofit focused on environmental education and holistic school development.

Our project focused on supporting early education and student well-being. Through affiliate and company contributions, we delivered:
-
Books and supplies for a local kindergarten library
-
A monetary donation for school uniforms, benefiting 400 students
I worked closely with the client and executive team to manage planning, logistics, and coordination with Eco Children, ensuring the service component was seamless and meaningful.

One of the most moving moments was visiting the school and meeting the students in person. Many of them wore torn or heavily worn uniforms—but their faces lit up with joy when they received vouchers for brand-new ones. The experience was a heartfelt reminder of how even a small gesture can leave a lasting impact on both the community and the guests who gave.

Backpack Build & Classroom Support
During an Incentive Program
During a corporate incentive trip in the Dominican Republic, we partnered with a local school and DMC to organize a high-impact CSR experience that brought together 300 guests in a hands-on, meaningful way.

Together, we assembled and donated 600 backpacks filled with school supplies for students from both the host school and nearby neighborhoods. In addition to the supply drive, the company contributed a monetary donation for new whiteboards, helping upgrade several classrooms in need of basic teaching tools.

My role involved coordinating all planning, logistics, and setup—including working with the hotel, the DMC, and school contacts to secure the venue, organize materials, and facilitate a smooth delivery and guest interaction.

The impact was immediate and heartwarming: students from surrounding areas arrived to collect their new supplies, proudly showing us what they were learning, while teachers celebrated the long-awaited classroom upgrades. It was a beautiful example of how incentive programs can create joy, connection, and lasting change within a community.

Hands-On Support for a Domestic Violence Refuge

As part of a unique “service and incentive” program in Killarney, Ireland, we partnered with Adapt Kerry Women’s Refuge, a nonprofit providing safe housing and resources for women and children escaping domestic abuse. This initiative focused on delivering not just donations, but dignity, comfort, and care.

Alongside 25 affiliate guests and spouses, we spent the day completing a series of projects to enhance the refuge’s physical space and emotional atmosphere:
-
Built bookshelves and picnic tables for communal areas
-
Donated books for women and children
-
Wrote personal letters of encouragement
-
Created small hand-tied floral posies to brighten rooms and spirits

My role included coordinating with the local DMC and the Adapt Kerry team to align with the client’s goals and ensure every detail—logistics, supplies, and sensitivity—was handled with care.

The impact was deeply emotional. The gratitude expressed by the Adapt Kerry team was overwhelming—filled with hugs, tears, and heartfelt thanks. For many volunteers, it was one of the most meaningful experiences of their lives, reinforcing the power of service as part of shared travel.
